What an AC repair looks like with us

Diagnosis before a price

A technician measures the system and finds the actual fault instead of swapping parts until something works. You get the number in writing before the repair starts.

Any make, any model

Split systems, packaged units, heat pumps and ductless mini-splits. We work on the equipment you already have, whoever installed it.

Urgent breakdowns

No cooling with an infant, an elderly person or someone with a medical condition in the house is a health risk in this heat, not a comfort problem. Call +1 (239) 851-5644 and tell us what is happening.

Repair or replace, honestly

If a repair makes sense on your system, we repair it. Both options go in front of you with what each one costs and what each one gets. A repair on a sound system stays a repair.

Why is my AC blowing warm air?

The usual suspects are a failed capacitor, low refrigerant from a leak, a coil frozen by restricted airflow, a tripped breaker or a thermostat fault. Before you call, check that the thermostat is set to cool, that the breaker has not tripped and that the filter is not clogged. If it still blows warm, switch the system off so it stops running in a faulty state and call us.

Do you offer emergency AC repair in Cape Coral?

Yes, we offer emergency support for urgent breakdowns. Call +1 (239) 851-5644 and describe what is happening. We will not promise you a time slot on the phone: we get a technician to you as soon as we can, and telling you otherwise would be a guess. If there is smoke, sparks, a burning smell or a gas smell, leave the property and call 911 first.

How much does AC repair cost?

It depends on which component failed, and that is known only after the diagnosis. It also depends on part availability for the brand and age of your system, on whether the part is still under manufacturer warranty, and on whether the fault caused any secondary damage. The service call is $148 during business hours until 5:00 PM, $198 after 5:00 PM and $248 on public holidays, and it covers one hour of on-site diagnosis. The price of the repair itself goes in writing before anything is touched.

Should I repair my air conditioner or replace it?

Age, the repair cost against the replacement cost, the repair history, the efficiency of the unit and its refrigerant type all weigh in. Most systems here run 10 to 15 years, and past that the arithmetic shifts. A first failure is a different conversation from the third in two years. We lay out both options; nobody gets pushed into a replacement they do not need.

My AC is frozen. What does that mean?

Ice on the refrigerant line or the indoor coil usually means restricted airflow or low refrigerant. Turn the system off and let it thaw before the technician arrives. Running a frozen system can damage the compressor, which is the expensive part of the whole machine.

Why does my AC run all day and the house is still hot?

A system that never reaches the setpoint is fighting something: a clogged filter, a coil frozen by restricted airflow, refrigerant lost through a slow leak, or an outdoor unit choked by hedges, grass clippings or salt build-up. It can also be a system that was undersized for the house from the start. Either way it is worth the call, because a unit running non-stop is burning electricity at the worst possible rate.

My AC is leaking water. Is that an emergency?

Water escaping from the system into the building counts as urgent, yes. The usual cause is a condensate drain blocked by biofilm, which builds up fast in this humidity, and the water then backs up where it should not go. Switch the system off so it stops producing more water and call us. Do not try to clear a blockage inside the equipment.

Why does my AC keep tripping the breaker?

Never keep resetting it. A breaker that trips repeatedly is reporting a real fault: a failing compressor drawing too much current, a shorted capacitor or contactor, a motor on its way out, or damaged wiring. Leave the breaker off and call us, because the breaker is the only thing standing between that fault and a fire.

Do you repair air conditioning in rental and seasonal properties?

Yes, and it is a large part of what we do here. For a property that sits empty part of the year we can coordinate access with a manager, a tenant or a neighbour, and report back with what was found and what it needs, so you do not have to fly in to let a technician through the door.
